What a statement is
An accessibility statement is a published page where you describe how accessible your service is, the standard you work to (EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1 AA), known limitations, and how people can contact you for help or report a problem.
What it must contain
- The standard and conformance level you're working to.
- Known limitations and areas still being improved.
- A contact route for accessibility feedback.
- The date it was prepared or last reviewed.
It documents efforts, not a guarantee
A statement describes your current state and your plan to improve — it is not a certificate and shouldn't claim full conformance. Drafts you generate here carry that framing by default, and a person should review the statement before you publish it.
